Salvation

This is what we need to understand...

1st, Understand that we are guilty sinners. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

2nd, Understand that there is a penalty for sin. Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death;" Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

3rd, Understand that Jesus, God's Son, died, was buried, and rose again to pay sin's penalty for us. Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 6:23b "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

This moment, will you repent and call upon Jesus to save you?

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and do not deserve Heaven. Please have mercy on me and save my soul. I do believe You gave Your life on the cross, were buried, and rose again to pay the full price for my sin; and I know that there is no other way I can get to Heaven except through You. I am trusting You and You alone for my salvation. Thank You for forgiving and saving me. Amen.
